Blake | Exploring Life {Hamilton Baby Photographer}

Tuesday, August 21st, 2012

When beautiful baby Blake was born, her mommy received a Creative Clicks Photography gift certificate from the lovely people she worked with. I was so excited to meet this new little family and photograph them in a new location as well! They recommended Sam Lawrence Park in Hamilton, and it was beautiful…the light was lovely, Blake was super sweet and this is the end result. Enjoy!

What to Wear {Niagara Child Photographer}

Friday, August 17th, 2012

I love the palette for this month’s version of What to Wear! I think it’s perfect for a fun family session on the beach! I’m picturing a large blanket, spread out on the sand, playing in the water… sounds fun right?! And it will look amazing too with the right wardrobe choices.Personally, I would suggest choosing a different shirt for the older boy in this scenario, replacing the red polo with a cute faded denim jean shirt with the sleeves rolled up :) I love how everything is pulled together out of one outfit (the patterned dress) and everyone will coordinate nicely, without looking too matchy. Even with a family of 6, it can be done! Before your session, take a look at what you have in your closet and start pulling together outfits. Maybe you need to pick up a new shirt, or an accessory to tie everyone together, but it doesn’t mean you need a whole shopping trip! I hope these monthly inspiration boards help you find the perfect look for your session!

Me & Mine | 9/13 {Niagara Newborn Photographer}

Thursday, August 16th, 2012

Woot! Only VERY last minute but I managed to get pics of me and all my babies for this month’s Me & Mine post! I am ever so thankful for this challenge, and the girls who are helping to hold me accountable to it. With my crazy busy life, the last thing I would have done this month is take a second to think about getting a shot with my kiddos. We went to African Lion Safari, and forgot…which would have been the easiest way to get in a nice shot. Instead, I set up my tripod and background in my studio this afternoon, slapped on some makeup and took my sweaty, dirty, mussed-hair children inside for some quick shots with Mumma and baby. In total, including the shots taken for setup, I got only 18 frames- but that’s all I needed. It turns out, lollipops work as VERY good bribery and doing only one child at a time is a LOT easier than trying to get a group shot, especially when you’re on a timer. All in all, I’m reasonably happy with these and I think my kiddos look perfectly adorable, even if I look overly…cheesy :)

Go around the circle and check out Misty Setzler’s take on our challenge this month!
