This beautiful mama was in Niagara, Ontario to be close to her family for the birth of her newborn daughter and it was so nice that she sought out a photographer to capture this fleeting moment in time for their little family. I loved photographing Isabella’s sweet delicate features and having so much time to capture that bond between mama and daughter. Aren’t they so beautiful together?! And that shot of her eyes open in mamas hands- oh, how it has my heart!

{Niagara Newborn Photographer} Arwynn

The tiniest little bundle joined me in my Niagara, ON studio for her newborn session, together with her adoring parents. It’s always so lovely to photograph these babes and make their images unique. What of their features stands out? What makes them special? How can I preserve this ever-so-brief moment in time for this family? Arwynn has the sweetest round face and chubby cheeks but a delicate nose and doll like features. I love how the lace knit wrap by Baby in Vogue framed her features so sweetly. And seeing how teeny tiny she is in her daddy hands emphasizes her little frame. I especially love the images with Mama… those snuggles against her chest and warm breaths on her face as she takes in every perfect detail. Those every day moments captured, forever.

{Niagara Newborn Photographer} Aaron

Snugly wrapped and enjoying the peaceful quiet that is part of every newborn session in my Niagara, ON studio, Aaron slept the entire time, making it easy for me to capture his sweet face. I’m often asked if I allow family members to be a part of a newborn session and if I will charge extra for that and my answer is this: I truly believe that the most important part of every session is to capture connection. An image that portrays love and joy means so much more to the participants and those looking at the print later on. Aaron will know how much his family loved him looking back at these portraits when he’s older. His children and his grandchildren will see how excited his big sister was to welcome him to their family. So yes- family is always invited to be a part of the session and at no extra charge at all. I’ve been known to beg parents and even grandparents to please take just one portrait with their loved ones and the result is always worth it. After all, this moment will never come around again.
