7 Days {Niagara Family Photographer}

Friday, July 30th, 2010

I will be away from home for a whole week, enjoying the time with my family up at our favorite place to be, Chesley Lake! I cannot wait, my kids are just the perfect age and this is going to be such a fun year to watch them soak it all up! And to top it off, my little sis Kailee has arrived home from Australia as a surprise for my Mum’s birthday- so she and her boyfriend Liam (who came with her from Australia) are going to be there- the whole family is together again and it feels awesome!

I will be back, checking my E-mail and responding to messages on Monday, August 9.

Here’s a little glimpse of what I hope we’ll be doing a LOT of this coming week!

Dean & Arlene- together for life {Guelph Wedding Photographer}

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Dean and Arlene were married in July in Las Vegas. They were joined by many friends and family and spent a wonderful week together. But they didn’t want anyone to miss out on the fun! Two weeks after coming home, they held a reception at the Guelph Country Club for all their family and friends. They also wanted some time for pictures, with their family as well as with just the two of them.  I am so excited to share these images with you- Arlene is just a knockout, wouldn’t you agree?! Beyond that, she is also a genuinely sweet person and we loved meeting you and all your loved ones!

Just to prove it CAN be done: this is two entire families all looking at the camera and smiling! I am so impressed with this group! Now if I could pass that on to my daughters…lol.

Arlene’s father will be turning 70 next year and she wanted some pictures of her parents together. They are such a sweet and adorable couple- I really loved getting to know them a little bit….and I will be sure to tell Arlene when the baby is born! Arlene’s mother was just so sweet and caring about me and my little one and her father just smiled all day. I loved them!

My girl {Niagara Children’s Photographer}

In my continuing quest to get a great image of my two girls together, I had them out in the backyard one day- I got nothing from Eden but that’s not a surprise. She refuses to sit still or co-operate whenever there is a camera around. I am waiting for the day she decides to embrace the camera like her big sister. Kyara is a total diva! She often asks for pictures if she’s all dressed up in her princess outfits or if she’s doing something like holding hands with Eden in the van or playing cute with her baby. She will ask me over and over until I pull out the camera and take a bunch of pictures. Hey- it’s better than me begging her!

Here she is:

Aaron & Chantal- Full of Life {Hamilton Maternity Photographer}

Monday, July 19th, 2010

Today I am sharing with you a very personal session, one that really means a lot to me.

My sister Chantal and her husband Aaron have been trying for the last three years to have a baby. It has been a long and difficult road for them and there were times when it seemed like it was never going to happen. If ever there was a couple who wanted to be parents and deserved it, it is these two. They love children so much, they have spoiled my two girls beyond belief and any baby around becomes Chantal’s newest love. I found out that I was expecting my third child and while I was overjoyed, I really didn’t know how to break the news- it gets harder each time. However, little did I know of God’s great and wondrous plans for them. Aaron and Chantal are due with their little boy just two weeks after my little one! It really seemed like a miracle to our family- their announcement brought on a lot of tears of joy, hugs and prayers of thankfulness. It has been so fun to share in this pregnancy with my sister and I am so excited to see them as parents to their son. I wish them the LORD’s blessings through the rest of this pregnancy and pray that all goes well when he arrives. I really can’t wait to meet him!

Here are a few more of my favorites from their session, showing some of the different styles we tried- and be sure to check out their slideshow as well!
