We had such a great time photographing this family in Stoney Creek’s own Battlefield Park. It was unusually cold, (typical for Canada to change up the weather in a moment’s notice!) but we stuck it out and I think we got some great images!! There was just so much love in this family, it was beautiful to see. Enjoy your sneak peek!

S Family Sneak Peek {Stoney Creek Family Photography}
Tuesday, April 27th, 2010Today….{Niagara Photography}
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010Today was a bad day. It was a culmination of a bunch of different things, but every time I tried to look at the bright side of things and turn the bad day around, something else would happen. I was determined not to let it all get me too down, to remember how blessed I truly am…but nothing was pulling me out of my funk.
Finally I pulled out my camera and let the girls run around in the backyard while I shot…just for me. It felt so good to do something just to test out my equipment, to try new things, not trying to get the perfect image of my kids or doing it for “work”, but just for my own creative outlet.
Here’s a few images from today…they are all SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera).
We have a beautiful magnolia tree in our backyard (these were shot with my 50mm 1.4 lens)
This was my second attempt at “poor man’s macro”…I think I may get obsessed with this fun technique!
These are such beautiful reminders of God’s perfect creation…these unfurling ferns make me happy!
And tomorrow is a new day! I hope you enjoy it! I know I will ![]()

Monday, April 19th, 2010My girls {West Lincoln Family Photography}
Friday, April 16th, 2010I have been so excited for spring to arrive so I could take my girls out and get some shots of the two of them together.
Finally, one Monday evening, we drove out to this great location in Grimsby that I had been eyeing. I was excited about the beautiful evening light and the great location, but of course my little one wanted nothing to do with it and held up her arms to be held nearly every image. So she got her blankie. I was able to get some shots in after that where she wasn’t crying or asking to be held but blankie was part of all the pictures.
At first I was sad, but then I realized that blankie is a huge part of who she is at this time in her life, and I want images that show who my girls are, that show their personalities. I don’t want posed, formal, perfect pictures, I want images that will show them who they were at 19 months and 3.5 years old. And I love every single one of these…
What to Wear {Niagara Family Photographers}
Monday, April 12th, 2010I love this edition of What to Wear! The outfits are awesome; I love how the color is not too matchy but it all flows nicely together. While the boys keep to their greens, blues and browns, the girls fun and colorful dresses pick up on those colors as well as add a bright shot of purple. It’s all about tying it together! These editions of What to Wear are simply for your inspiration if you’re searching for that perfect outfit, but if you see something you love, it can be found now in the stores at Old Navy or the Gap as mentioned below.
